Another one that slipped through the cracks despite seeing this video box every day at work (when I worked at a video store, not at my work now). So, um, it’s bad.

A pretty-cheap film from the looks, it’s actually not badly acted. It’s the story that’s lacking. And the direction is bland as hell. On Halloween night, a woman is tasked at the last minute to babysit a kid who seems too old to need one. Meanwhile, an escaped lunatic is heading to the house to kill his wife for putting him in the looney bin. The babysitter realizes she has her hands full since the kid loves magic and practical jokes. He fakes his death a few times (with a “Boy Who Cried Wolf” storytelling thrown in to drag own the pace). I was hoping it was gonna go full Home Alone territory, but it’s not clever enough for that.
