Winner of the 2003 AIGA Las Vegas Work Show award for Judges' Choice for Technical Excellence, this direct mail piece required nine vendors from three countries to produce.
A custom-designed frosted poly sleeve with one-color silkscreen held an embossed tin. Inside, a gel-filled embossed vinyl jacket with inserts printed on holographic plastic and iridescent paper supplied the information.
This was created before the agency had a Production Manager, so I was responsible for contacting the tin manufacturer in China and pouch manufacturer in England and coordinate delivery to and from local vendors (and deal with a port strike, international time zones and mailing restrictions, people going on holiday and, through it all, staying in budget).
